Description
Testosterone is a steroid compound that is described chemically as Delta 4-androstene-17β-ol-3-one. It is the principal hormone of the testis. The ester, Propionate, is a stable, white, or slightly yellow crystalline substance that is insoluble in water but freely soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, vegetable oils, and other organic solvents. Esterification of the 17 beta-hydroxy groups produces compounds that have a longer duration of action and are hydrolyzed in vivo to free testosterone.
Propnex® is a sterile solution of Testosterone Propionate USP29, Ph. Eur.5.5, Micronized grade in Miglyol 840, Ethyl oleate, Benzyl benzoate, Benzyl alcohol.
